Whos News?

Do you know who's news on the music scene? We've got our ear to the ground so that we can tell you about some special talents creating a buzz out there.

Here's someone we think you should listen to. Listen and then let us know what you think!

Keke Palmer

You might have noticed that Hello Kitty, the world's beloved Japanese feline friend, has no mouth. But that hasn't stopped her from making music! With the help of singer-actress and all-around teen phenomenon Keke Palmer, the people at Sanrio have given Kitty the chance to say Hello World with the first-ever Hello Kitty-inspired CD. It's an album that reflects the themes of girl empowerment, having fun, and loving life that are the foundation of the Hello Kitty image. And it's catchy enough to get the coolest of cats up on their paws--er, feet.

With her heaps of talent, energy, and personality, Keke was the perfect choice to lend a voice to the headline track, "Come On Come On," a poppy anthem of can-do inspiration. At age 15 she's already released a pop/R&B solo album and promoted it with performances at WNBA games across the country. And critics have been wowed by her performances in movies on the big and small screens--including her title role in Akeelah and the Bee, for which she won an NAACP Image Award, and her star turn in The Wool Cap, which earned her a Screen Actors Guild nomination. Hello, Keke! Her sweet but strong voice brings a happy energy to the song that makes you feel like you've made a new friend, and that you can do just about anything. Let's hear it for girl power!
